Ralph L. Mentzer, 94, passed Sunday, March 26, 2023, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.  He was the husband of Eunice I. (Botterbusch) Mentzer, his wife of 69 years.

Ralph was born December 5, 1928, in Waynesboro, the son of the late Jacob W. and Cora (Bittle) Mentzer.

Ralph was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Abbottstown, 12th Ward Democratic Club, Prince Athletic Association, Yankee Club, and Viking Club.  He retired from the York Dispatch as a stereotyper and route currier.

In addition to his wife Eunice, Ralph is survived by four sons, Mike Mentzer and his wife Karen of York, R. Steven Mentzer and his wife Leslie of Spring Grove, Brad K. Mentzer and his wife Shelly of Spring Grove, and Bill A. Mentzer and his wife Chris of Abbottstown, a daughter, Lori A. Noll of Abbottstown, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald and Richard Mentzer, and a sister, Janet Billet.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 11 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Rev. Shawn Berkebile officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Abbottstown.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
