Peter Mrgich, 93, of Lake Meade, formerly of Steelton and Rutherford, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving children and wife.  He was born December 9, 1930, son of the late Milutin and Danica Vasich Mrgich. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Mrgich and Annie Mrgich Macut, and one brother, Bozidar Robert Mrgich.

Pete graduated from Steelton High School in 1948 and Penn State York in 1958 with a Associate Degree in Engineering.  Before enrolling at Penn State, he enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean War on the aircraft carrier, USS Block Island.

He was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Oberlin, where he served many years on the Church Executive Board.  Pete completed a 35 year career with PA National Insurance Company.  Pete is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara Hoff Mrgich; twin sons, Peter M, Paul D., daughter, Patricia J. Mrgich Henderson and husband, Dr. Christopher Henderson, stepdaughter, Marion Elizabeth Kuhn, and stepson, Stephen A. Kuhn and his wife Mary.  He leaves ten grandchildren, Genevieve Henderson, Brandon Mrgich, Gavin Looney, Alena Mrgich, Kayden Mrgich, Miranda Mrgich, Ella Henderson, Allison Kuhn, Mary Ellen Kuhn, and Jack Kuhn.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Steelton, with Rev. Christopher Rocknage, his Pastor, officiating. Viewing will begin at 10:00 with services at 11:00.  Burial will be in Red Mount Church Cemetery, 1883 Baltimore Pike, East Berlin, PA with military honors.   Arrangements are being handled by Feiser Funeral Home, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford.  In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 601 S.
