Pearl E. (Baker) Hughes, 78, died Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York.  She was the wife of the late Edward A. "Eddie" Hughes, who died November 24, 2009.

Pearl was born May 28, 1943, in East Berlin, the daughter of the late Oscar and Edna (Myers) Baker.

Pearl was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in York, and the East Berlin Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.  She was employed by Hanover Foods, A.D. Frey, and she retired from United Natural Foods in 2005.

Pearl is survived by a daughter, Pamala K. Hughes of East Berlin, and a son-in-law, Donald Danner of East Berlin.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Wanda S. Danner, and a brother, Carl Baker.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 2 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin, with her pastor, Rev. Paul Gausmann officiating.  Burial will be in East Berlin Union Cemetery.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 PM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd, York, PA 17408.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
