Pauline M. (Martin) Hertz, 90, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at Colonial Manor in York. She was the wife of Francis "Pete" W. Hertz, who died February 12, 1999.
Pauline was born August 12, 1926 in New Oxford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Estella (Kuhn) Martin.
Pauline was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford where she was also a member of the Legion of Mary.
Pauline is survived by her children, Joseph F. Hertz of New Oxford, Judy M. Russ of Darien, Ill., Cindy A. Howard and her husband, Ronald of Gettysburg, Michael W. Hertz and his wife, Vanessa of New Oxford, and Thomas A. Hertz and his wife, Sandy of Abbottstown, seven grandchildren, Tony, Christina, Angela, Nicole, Andrea, Hali, and Ethan; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Martin and Burnell Carbaugh; and five sisters, Clara Riggs, Mary Menges, Dorothy Downin, Rita Bucher, and Rose Topper. She was predeceased by three brothers, Bernard, Francis and Joseph Martin; and a sister, Teresa Hankey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St, New Oxford, with Rev. Michael Letteer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford with prayers at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to VNA/Hospice, 440 N.
