Oscar L. Becker, Jr, 72, died Friday, November 25, 2016 at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Miriam (Shank) Becker, his wife of 47 years.
Oscar was born July 7, 1944 in Hampstead, MD, the son of the late Oscar L. and F. Edna (Sites) Becker, Sr.
Oscar was a member of Cross Keys Fellowship in New Oxford, and was a truck driver for Maryland Transportation and Round Hill Foods.
In addition to his wife, Miriam, Oscar is survived by a daughter, Pamela L. Hilbert and her husband, Tom of Elizabethton, TN; a son, Keith A. Becker and his wife, Cristi of Seven Valleys, five grandchildren, Brittnee Hilbert, Jadon Hilbert, Destinee Hilbert, Noah Hilbert and Dalton Etzel; five brothers, Ronald Swanger of Westminster, MD, Kenneth Becker, of Frederick, MD, Donald Becker of Gettysburg, Richard Becker of Stanley, VA, and Michael Becker of Waynesboro; and a sister, Margaret Shank of New Oxford. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Becker.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Pastor Sandy Adams, Jr officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Cross Keys Fellowship Church, 785 Berlin Rd, New Oxford, PA 17350.
