Novella "Bell" (Griffin) Markle, 84, passed Monday, August 8, 2022, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.  She was the wife of Roger G. Markle, her husband of 34 years.

Novella was born October, 6, 1937, in White Bluff, TN, the daughter of the late Mckinley and Minnie Allien (Oakley) Griffin

Novella was a member of Harvest Time Temple in Hanover, and loved to cook, especially pineapple upside down cake and chocolate chip cookies. Bell worked many years as a Deli clerk at Weis Markets in Hanover, and Lynn's/Shurfine Markets in New Oxford.

In addition to her husband Roger, Bell is survived by her children, Martha A. Boyde of New Oxford, George W. Carroll of New Oxford, Melody K. Henry of Gettysburg, Sherry L. Dickson of New Oxford, Timothy L. Brown of FL, and Willard A. Brown of York, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, a sister, Dimple Cobb, and a brother, Ernest Griffin.  She was predeceased by ten brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 6 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Rev. Fred Mummert officiating.  Burial will be private.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 4 PM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
