Nelson L. Miller, 81, passed Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Spring Grove, at his daughter’s home.

Nelson was born March 2, 1945, in Hanover, the son of the late Nelson J. and Leah C. (Shriver) Miller.

Nelson was 1964 graduate of New Oxford High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved to whittle wood and make ducks, and was a member of New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, Hanover AMVETS, and Hanover V.F.W.

Nelson is survived by a daughter, Jaime A. Cool and her husband Ryan of Spring Grove, and two grandchildren, Rylan Cool and Jaidan Cool both of Spring Grove.

Following cremation, military honors will be provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard, at 10 AM, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at New Oxford Cemetery, York Rd, New Oxford, where family and friends are welcome. A celebration of Nelson’s life will be held at a later date. Feiser Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.
