Nancy Budd Heffron, 85, of New Oxford, PA entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 6th , 2026, at UPMC Hanover. Nancy was born on May 11th, 1941, in Hanover to late John Wesley Budd and Catherine Wilhelm Budd. Nancy grew up in the New Oxford area and was part of the New Oxford High School graduating class of 1959, who she continued to meet with at the Inn 94 throughout her life. She attended college at Shippensburg and West Chester University, earning her Master's degree in education.

Nancy had the heart of a teacher. She taught at Chadd's Ford and New Oxford Elementary schools. She used her knowledge to tutor kids within the neighborhood, encouraging them to read and learn. Nancy later became a well-known CSM at Wal-Mart in Hanover where she formed wonderful lifelong friendships. Nancy grew up on her family's farm where she enjoyed riding horses. She was an avid reader, Wyeth family art collector, and played the piano and guitar. She enjoyed folk music in her early days and kept music of all types as an important part of her and her family's life. Nancy was very devoted to her family and friends always keeping in touch with those near and far. She most enjoyed all the exciting road trips with her husband Joe seeking out the next pinball machine and fireworks store.

Nancy is survived by her son, Joseph & wife Jennifer Heffron; daughter Wendy & husband Webb Tyler; grandchildren Chloe Heffron, Wade Heffron, Griffin Heffron, Jonathan Tyler and Nicholas Tyler; sister, Betsy Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph 'Joe' Heffron.

Relatives and friends are invited to Nancy's Memorial Service at Feiser Funeral & Cremation Care, 302 Lincoln Way West on Saturday July 18th at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at New Oxford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Adams County SPCA at 11 Goldenville Rd. Gettysburg, PA 17325.
