Nancy L. Basler

Nancy L. (Smith) Basler, 85, died Friday, April 22, 2016, at The Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of Roy A. Basler, Jr.
Nancy was born June 18, 1930, in Bedford, Ind., the daughter of the late Richard K. and Eva M. (Head) Smith.
Nancy was an active volunteer at The Brethren Home Community and loved to cook.
In addition to her husband, Roy, Nancy is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline A. Fredericks and her husband, Joseph of Lebanon, Ky.; a son, Thomas K. Moore and his wife, Carol of Westminster, Md.; five grandchildren;seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Lyons of Tyrone, Md. She was predeceased by two daughters, Nancy E. Moore and Cheryl D. Carrente; and two sons, James R. and Michael P. Moore.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Nicarry Meeting House of The Brethren Home Community, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, with the Rev. Linda Titzell officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no viewing.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund of The Brethren Home Community.
