Nancy L. (Barnhart) Bankert, 83, passed Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home.  She was the wife of the late Karl R. Bankert, her husband of 63 years, who passed November 16, 2022.

Nancy was born July 18, 1941, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Burnell C. and Margaret E. (Rohrbaugh) Barnhart.

Nancy was an active member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Oxford, and loved quilting, sewing, gardening and playing cards.

Nancy is survived by her children, Pamela J. Storm and her husband Joey of New Oxford, Gregory R. Bankert and his wife Amber of New Oxford, and Linda S. Yocum and her husband Craig of Middletown, four grandchildren, Drew Bankert, Maxwell Storm, Samuel Storm and Rachel Storm, two great grandchildren, Daxton Moore and Emily Bankert, and two sisters, Marjorie Wentz of Hanover, and Iva Martin of Manchester, MD.  She was predeceased by a brother, David Barnhart.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 11 AM, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 Lincoln Way East, New Oxford, with Rev. Joel Hummel officiating.  Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the church on Saturday, from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
