Michele "Butch" DeVita, 62, of East Berlin, died Thursday, September 7, 2017
at the Hanover hospital. He was the husband of Anna C. (Rende) DeVita,
married on January 19, 1974, his wife of 43 years.

Butch was born March 19, 1955 in the city of Rose, Calabria, Italy, the son
of the late Rocco and Carmela (Leale) DeVita.

Michele was a well-known citizen of East Berlin AKA as "Butch".
Butch was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in
Abbottstown, a devoted business owner of "Rocco's Pizza" since 1981 along
with his brother Lorenzo. He was a member of the East Berlin Fire Co. #11,
and a member of the V.F.W. Post 8896 East Berlin. Butch was devoted to his
family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Anna, Butch is survived by one son, Rocco L. DeVita
and his wife Alesha of East Berlin, three daughters; Luisa C. Poole and her
husband John of Dover, Anna F. DeVita of East Berlin, and Monica M. Reese
and her husband Thomas Getsinger, Jr. of Harrisburg, one brother Lorenzo
DeVita of East Berlin, two sisters; Luisa Mammone of New Oxford and Maria
Arce of Harrisburg, three grandsons; Luis DeVita, Rocco DeVita and Trey
Getsinger, five granddaughters; Alexandra DeVita, Isabella DeVita, Madison
Poole, Gianna DeVita and Rozella Reese.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, September 13, 2017,
at 10 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd,
Abbottstown, with Rev. Joseph Gotwalt officiating. Burial will be in the
East Berlin Union Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 12,
2017, at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin from 6
