Michael E. "Brody" Brodbeck, 67, of York, passed Thursday, September 21, 2023 at his home, with his loving family at his side. He was the husband of Karen D. (Wolfe) Brodbeck, his wife of 48 years.

Michael was born January 2, 1956 in Gettysburg, the son of the late John J. and Nancy L. (Winand) Brodbeck.

Michael was a member of the Jefferson Rifle Club, Inc. of Codorus, Austin-Costello Sportsmen Club, Shiloh American Legion Post 791, and the Bandits Golf Club. Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending any free time at his second home, his cabin in Potter Co. Michael was a football and softball Official for many years with the PIAA, (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Assoc.). Michael enjoyed traveling and loved playing golf. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Karen, Michael is survived by three daughters, Tara M. Crawford and her husband Thomas IV of Red Lion, Ashley J. Hillegas, and Courtney M. Brodbeck, both of York, six grandchildren, Jesse, Katelyn, and Finley Crawford, Brandi and Tanner Hillegas, and Mila Stewart, one sister, Diane K. Reese and her husband Robert of Hanover, and a brother, Keith A. Brodbeck and his wife Lori of Spring Grove. He was predeceased by one brother, Jeffrey L. Brodbeck.

Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 12 PM, at Zwingli UCC, 403 W. King St., East Berlin, in the social hall, with a luncheon and fellowship for family and friends, for memories to be shared.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson Rifle Club, Inc, P.O.
