It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melanie Mae Ford, who left us peacefully on Wednesday, September 30th at the age of 54. Melanie resided in Dover, PA, bringing warmth, laughter, and compassion to all who knew her.

Melanie was the beloved daughter of the late Roy Swope and Margret Swope, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted children; Demi Gilbert, Dayton Ford (Runa), and Kya Ford. Her legacy also continues through her grandchildren; David Heckert, Lydia Williams, and Damian Ford. Melanie was the dear sister of Tracey Swope (Gina) and Trevor swope who will forever hold her memory close to heart.

Melanie was a pillar of love and joy, known for culinary passion, enchanting artistry, and unfaltering sense of humor. She had a remarkable appreciation of music, and her zest for life was often reflected in her fondness for reality TV and soap operas. Melaine cherished her four-legged friends, and love for dogs brought her much happiness throughout the years. Her bright sprit, ability to uplift those around her, and appreciation for life’s simple joys reminded us of all the power of kindness and passion.
