Maurice G. Neiman, 90, of Abbottstown, died Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Hanover Hospital. He was the husband of Anna L. (Kuhn) Neiman, his wife of 73 years.
Maurice was born February 24, 1926 in Dover, the son of the late Clarence A. and Alda (Sweitzer) Neiman.
Maurice was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Hanover, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and retired from the Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg.
In addition to his wife Anna, Maurice is survived by 2 daughters; Gloria A. Smith of Abbottstown, and Catherine L. Noel and her husband Carroll of Renovo, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and 2 brothers; Donald Neiman of New Oxford, and Jack Neiman of York. He was predeceased by 3 brothers; Edward Neiman, Ralph Neiman and Clarence Neiman, Jr, and 4 sisters; Margaret Almoney, Delores Neiman, Mildred Altland and Ruth Conaway.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 10 AM at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with Pastor Dave Hockman officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery in Abbottstown. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 50 E.
