Mary K. (Yingling) Berkheimer, 95, died Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of Gilbert R. Berkheimer, who died June 1, 1994.
Mary was born September 5, 1921 in New Oxford, the daughter of the late William and Anastasia (Kuhn) Yingling, Sr.
Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford, where she was also a member of the Marion Oxfordites and the Rosary Society. She was a member of AARP and enjoyed line dancing with the Silver Liners and arts and crafts.
Mary is survived by a daughter, Paulette A. Ohm and her husband, Larry of Hanover; a son, John H. Berkheimer and his wife, Joyce of Hanover; a daughter, Karen A. Staub of Hanover; a son, Kevin J. Berkheimer and his wife, Lori of Hanover; three grandchildren, Michelle Staub and her husband, Jim, Andrea (Staub) Lyons and her husband, David, and Patrick Staub; a sister, Pauline Hoffacker of Hanover; and a son-in-law, Jay LaRochelle of Fairbanks, AK. She was predeceased by a daughter, Janis LaRochelle; and five brothers, Charles Yingling, Paul Yingling, Eugene Yingling, John Yingling and William Yingling, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St, New Oxford, with Rev. Michael Letteer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, with prayers at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
