Mary A. (McMaster) Anthony, 78, died Monday, May 28, 2018 at her residence. She was the wife of the late James C. Anthony, who died on October 31, 1989

Mary was born April 5, 1940, in Abbottstown, the daughter of the late Paul E. and Loretta A. (Breighner) McMaster

Mary was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Abbottstown. She retired from the York Co. Prison as a cook, and loved quilting, collecting antique Christmas decorations and gardening.

Mary is survived by two sons; Anthony D. Wolf of East Berlin, and James C. Anthony of Spring Grove, three daughters; Frances M. Williams and her husband Bernie of East Berlin, Lisa A. Wivell and her husband Hank of Spring Grove, and Brenda L. Stambaugh and her husband Mike of East Berlin, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and five sisters. She was predeceased by a sister, a brother, and a great granddaughter.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd., Abbottstown, with Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
