Mark L. Rickrode, Sr, 82, passed Thursday, January 10, 2019, at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover Hospital.  He was the husband of the late Doris M. (Bentzel) Rickrode, his wife of 55 years, who passed November 5, 2011.

Mark was born June 4, 1936, in Hanover, the son of the late Millard and Ruth (Dull) Rickrode.

Mark was a graduate of Hanover High School, a member of Grace U.C.C. in Hanover, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.  He was employed by Capital Bakers, B.C. Schuchart and Bodwell Company.  He loved auto racing, golf, fishing, and Oktoberfest, and was an avid football fan.

Mark is survived by his children, Mark L. Rickrode, Jr, Scott A. Rickrode, Tina M. Hagarman and her husband Tim, and Travis W. Rickrode, all of Hanover, two grandsons, Wesley A. Hagarman and Vance M. Hagarman, both of Hanover, a brother, Millard Rickrode and a sister, Leoma Herman.  He was predeceased by a brother, George Smith and three sisters, Thelma Cookson, Mary Jane Paul, and Anna Wagner.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at 7:30 PM at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating.  Burial will be private.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 PM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA  17603 or to the American Diabetes Association, 3544 N.
