Marie E. (Scheivert) Schuchart, 94, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at Hanover Hall. She was the wife of Arlington A. "Jim" Schuchart, her husband of 69 years.
Marie was born June 7, 1922, in Hanover, the daughter of the late John E. and Annie S. (Rebel) Scheivert.
Marie was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Baltimore, MD.
In addition to her husband Jim, Marie is survived by three sons, Wayne J. Schuchart and his wife, Becky, and James E. Schuchart and his wife, Tina all of Nokomis, FL, and Gary A. Schuchart and his wife, Debbie of Baltimore, MD, and three grandchildren, David Schuchart, Jill Schuchart, and Craig Schuchart. She was predeceased by two brothers, Bill and Mark Scheivert; and a sister, Frances Stambaugh.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10 a.m., at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd, Abbottstown, with Rev. Timothy Marcoe officiating. Burial will be in St. Vincent Cemetery, Hanover. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
