Lurlene Delores (Goldberg) "Doodle" Shifflett, 69, of Hanover, formerly of Dundalk, MD, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband Welford "Peanut" Shifflett, her husband of 31 years.

Doodle was born Aug. 5, 1954, in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of the late John Frank and Mildred Evelyn (Mardis) Goldberger.

She was predeceased by her parents as well as a brother Dennis Richard Goldberger and half sister Mary Lou Metzler Humphrey.

She is survived by three daughters, Beverly Short, Kimberly (Kenneth) Deatrick, and Trysta Shifflett; a granddaughter Shay Shelby-Marie  Kovalick; two grandsons, Nicholas Short and his fiancé Stephanie Leigh Marcum and Justin Hodges; one sister, Sandra (James) Stealey ;a brother, Michael John Goldberg Sr., Half Brother Daniel Metzler.

Doodle enjoyed spending time with her family and was especially close with her grandchildren. She enjoyed painting, crafts, socializing, and going on cruise vacations.

Following a private viewing for immediate family, graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 11:30 AM, at New Oxford Cemetery, New Oxford, PA.
