Lillian C. "Lil" (Shrader) Miller, 96, of New Oxford, died Saturday, October 21, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Robert N. Miller, who died January 13, 1999.
Lillian was born February 14, 1921, in Oxford Twp., the daughter of the late Charles A, and Corrine B. (Carbaugh) Shrader.
Lillian was a life member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford, and a member of the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, and the New Oxford Fire Company. She was an avid bingo player and pie baker.
Lillian is survived by three sons, Robert F. Miller and his wife Judy of New Oxford, Lee A. Miller of East Berlin, and Jeffrey A. Miller and his wife Lori of Albuquerque, NM, four daughters, Loretta A. Smith and her husband Lenny, Dorothy M. Deatrick, and Donna L. Stoner and her husband Leroy, all of New Oxford, and Nancy C. Miller-Hyer of Hilton Head, SC, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, a sister, Dorothy Kress of Hanover, and a son-in-law, Darrell A. Norton of New Oxford. She was predeceased by a daughter, Susan E. Norton, two grandsons, Erik Norton and Ronald Stoner, a son-in-law, Kenneth W. Deatrick, nine brothers, William, Charles, Francis, George, James, Joseph, Earl, Robert, and Edward Shrader, and three sisters, Marie Leister, Corrine "Tiny" Smith, and Emma Livingston. The family would like to thank Cheryl, Claudette and Brenda and the VNA/Hospice for the loving care they gave to Lillian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at 10 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 106 Carlisle St, New Oxford, with Rev. Michael Letteer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with prayers at 8 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Miller, Roger Miller, Brian Smith, Kenny Deatrick, Jr, Andy Stoner, Clint Miller, Missy Stoner, and Christy Keefer.
