Leroy F. "Roy" Alfree, Jr., 64, of York Springs, died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Joyce M. (Ogle) Alfree, his wife of 46 years.

Roy was born February 6, 1954 in Bainbridge, MD, the son of Edna (Chas) Alfree, of Townsend, DE, and the late Leroy F. Alfree, Sr.

In addition to his wife Joyce, Roy is survived by three sons; Lee and his wife Karen,  Matthew, and Seth and his wife Cassy, all  of New Oxford, nine grandchildren; Dusty, Mikaela, Destiney, Ryan, Mackenzie, Cody, Darcie, Madyson, and Natalie, two sisters; Maria Brooks and Trudy Hastings and her husband Duck, both of Townsend, DE. Roy was predeceased by a son, Stephen M. Alfree.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1 PM at the St. John's U.C.C., 2243 Hunterstown-Hampton Rd., New Oxford, with Rev Douglas C. Hahn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, on Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 6-8 PM, and on  Friday, at the church from 12PM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that a tree be planted anywhere in memory of Roy.
