Leland J. Steinke, Sr, 57, died Saturday, December 5, 2020, at WellSpan York Hospital.  He was the husband of Athene M. (Thacker) Steinke, his wife 23 years.

Leland was born September 20, 1963, in Stockton, CA, the son of Joan (Gianelli) Steinke of Wellsville, and the late Vernon R. Steinke.

Leland was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbottstown, and he was employed by tapestry technologies, inc.  He loved taking cruises, playing board games, and tabletop role playing games, and he was a member of several gaming groups.

In addition to his mother and wife, Leland is survived by three sons, L. Joseph Steinke, Jr, Erich D. Steinke and Nicholas J. Steinke, all of York, and a brother, Michael Steinke and his wife Sandy of Wellsville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 11 AM, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd, Abbottstown, with Rev.
