LaVonne K. (Hawbaker) Shank, 82, passed Friday, August 15, 2025, at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.  She was the wife of Lewis J. Shank, her husband of 62 years.

LaVonne was born January 29, 1943, in Upton, the daughter of the late Roy B. and Janet (Auman) Hawbaker.

LaVonne was a member of Upper Conewago Brethren Church in Abbottstown.

In addition to her husband Lewis, LaVonne is survived by her children; Fawn E. Jacobs of Birmingham, AL, Kevin A. Shank and his wife Vonita of New Oxford, and Michele J. Stauffer and her husband Willie of Denver, PA, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a brother, Duane Hawbaker and his wife Joanna of Mercersburg, and four sisters; Diane Hawbaker of Mercersburg, Donna Martin and her husband George of Greencastle, Wanda Negley and her husband Roger of Mercersburg, and Roxane Witmer of Mercersburg.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 10 AM, at Upper Conewago Brethren Church, 391 Mummert's Church Rd, Abbottstown, with Bro. Allen Nell and Bro. Jason Metzler officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Viewings will be held at the church on Tuesday from 6-8 PM, and on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607-3000.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
