Kenneth D. Mummert, 66, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was the husband of Lynn M. Richter, his wife of 4 years.
Ken was born June 23, 1950 in Hanover, the son of the late Raymond and Ethel (Trostle) Mummert.
Ken was a plant administrator at Knouse Foods in Biglerville and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved people, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a member of the American Legion in Biglerville.
In addition to his wife, Lynn, Ken is survived by a stepdaughter, Janine Poteet and husband, Eddie of York, a stepson, Jamie R. Richter and wife, Heather of Spring Grove; three granddaughters, Kylei Snyder, Layla Snyder, and Addie Richter; a brother, Gary Mummert and wife, Jean of Hanover; and a sister, Linda Bream and husband, Frank of Hanover. He was predeceased by a sister, Fran Miller; and three brothers, Leonard, Charlie and Titus Mummert.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with the Rev. Cynthia A. Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Mummert's Church Cemetery, Abbottstown. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
