Kathleen J. (Crook) Spangler, 92, of East Berlin, died Saturday, November 25, 2017, at her residence.  She was the wife of the late Harvey C. Spangler, her husband of 52 years, who died May 30, 1998.

Kathleen was born June 28, 1925, in Reading Twp., Adams Co., the daughter of the late Lloyd C. and Jennie C. (Bosserman) Crook.

Kathleen was a life member of Lower Bermudian Lutheran Church in East Berlin, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir, and was a 1944 graduate of East Berlin High School.  She was a life member of the East Berlin V.F.W. Post #8896 Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Order of The Eastern Star.  She was employed by Dental Supply, and Musselman's Apple Factory, and retired as the tax collector for East Berlin Boro.  She was a babysitter for family and friends, enjoyed working in her garden and flowers beds, and loved making candy, pies and her delicious chicken pot pie.

Kathleen is survived by a son, Michael C. Spangler and his wife Lauren of Dover, three daughters, Kathy S. King and her companion Michael L. Baker of East Berlin, Joni L. Whiteford of East Berlin, and Tammy D. Group and her husband Mark of Mechanicsburg, 4 grandchildren, Wanda, Steven, Nichole and Mitchell, two step grandchildren, Jackie and Josh, seven great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, two step great great grandchildren, and a sister, Ethel Nitchman of Dover.  She was predeceased by three brothers, John, Kenneth, and Eugene Crook, two sisters, Dorothy Shellenberger and Loretta Linebaugh, and two step grandchildren, Harry Wisman and Macy Group.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 10 AM, at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin.  Burial will be in East Berlin Union Cemetery.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 PM.  Memorial contributions may be made to SpiriTrust Lutheran Homecare and Hospice, 1075 Old Harrisburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA  17325.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
