Obituary

Judy K. (Basehore) Wilson, 84, passed Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at The Brethren Home Community.  She was the wife of Robert A. Wilson.

Judy was born June 11, 1938, in Palmyra, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ronetta (Stump) Basehore.

Judy was a homemaker and an avid seamstress. She excelled in drawings, oils paintings, pastel chalk paintings, fine needlepoint and creative artwork, enjoyed reading books, baking and cooking. She loved being at home and caring deeply for her family. A cat on her lap or in the house gave her great comfort. She enjoyed being outdoors and loved to walk. She and her husband traveled full time by RV for several years and visited 49 States of America, all except Alaska, before falling in love with and settled into Colorado for over 20 years. Her last 10 years of life were spent in Pennsylvania loving her family with her husband, children and her grandchildren and their families. She included Somerset Neighborhood as her family for the last 4 years where she resided at Cross Keys Village The Brethren Home Community. She was loved by all staff and residents and truly found her outlet in sharing her love to the very end. She was a bright ray of sunshine wherever she went.

Judy simply loved life, loved God and all people. She celebrated life at every stage and brought much joy to whoever was around her. She will be truly missed by many. Family and friends will know she is spreading her joy and energy, dancing with the angels and her loved ones, in heaven. We rejoice with her in the fact that her temporary suffering on earth has finally ended, and she is now resting in eternal peace. Judy blessed everyone she met bringing the hope of God's love to them. The memories of this beautiful life will not be easily forgotten.

In addition to her husband Robert, Judy is survived by three sons, Scott Wilson and his wife Rebecca of Hanover, David Wilson and his wife Misty of Canton, and Dennis Wilson and his wife Ruth of Hanover, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a brother, Michael Basehore of Cape Cod, MA, and two sisters, Donna (Peanut) Waite of SC, and Erla (Cissy) Whittington of NC.
