Joyce A. (Rinehart) Hoff, 78, passed Saturday, March 29, 2025, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.  She was the loving wife of J. Richard Hoff, her husband of 40 years.

Joyce was born November 11, 1946, in New Oxford, the daughter of the late Charles F. and Rita M. (Gebhart) Rinehart.

Joyce was a member of Paradise "Holtzschwamm" Lutheran Church, Thomasville, and East Berlin V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.  She thought the world of her children and grandchildren, enjoyed going to Cape May and Long Wood Gardens, and had a true love for animals and nature.  Joyce's faith in God played an important role in her life and she was a survivor.

In addition to her husband Rick, Joyce is survived by four sons, Scot A. Smith of Windsor, Anthony L. Smith and his wife Denisse and Vincent J. Smith and his wife Ahna, all of Manchester, PA, and Eric E. Smith and his wife Theresa of New Oxford, a daughter, Michelle L. Laughman and her husband Bill of New Oxford, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a sister, Gloria Snyder of New Oxford.  She was predeceased by a son, Richard L. Hoff, a sister, Diane Kratz, a brother, Charles Rinehart, and a daughter-in-law, Christine Smith.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 3 PM, at Paradise "Holtzschwamm" Lutheran Church, 3241 Church Rd, Thomasville, with Rev. Sigrid Hipkiss officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 2 PM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to Adams Co.
