Joseph A. "Joe" Shoemaker, Sr., 66, passed away at his hunting cabin in Jersey Mills, PA, Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Joe was born May 6, 1956 in Gettysburg, the son of the late Dale F. and Janet (Leas) Shoemaker, Sr.

Joe was a self-employed mason contractor, and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Joe is survived by three sons, Joseph A. Shoemaker, Jr. and his wife Nancy of East Berlin, Michael D. Shoemaker and his wife Carla of Warminster, and Joshua D. Shoemaker and his wife Jessica of Purcellville, VA, a daughter, Amanda L. Renfrew and her husband Shawn of Wellsville, seven grandchildren, Jacob, Laikyn, Hailey, Kaylee, Tyler, Amelia and Nicholas, one brother, Jack Shoemaker and his wife Dana of Dover, two sisters, Debbie Jeffrey and her husband Mark of MI, and Jill Keller and her husband Joe of Carlisle, and  a sister-in-law, June Shoemaker of Dover. He was predeceased by two brothers, Dale Shoemaker, Jr, and Danny Shoemaker.
