Joseph E. "Joe" Fretz, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, May 16, 2025, at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy. He was the husband of Carol V. (Miller) Fretz, his wife of over 59 years.

Joe was born, February 1, 1941 in Hatfield, PA, the son of the late Joseph Rosenberger and Sarah Wisler (Koones) Fretz.

During his working years, Joe worked  as a carpenter, bookkeeper, farmer, truck driver, and dispatcher.

In addition to his wife, Carol, Joe is survived by a son, Stephen J. Fretz and his wife Alice of Galena, MO, a daughter, Cheryl M. Bollinger and her husband Dale of Reinholds, PA., four granddaughters, one grandson, four great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and a sister, Nancy Wingert and her husband Delbert of Plain City, OH.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 2 PM at the Upper Conewago Brethren Church, 403 Mummert's Church Rd., Abbottstown, with Brother Dan Miller and Brother Allen Nell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 6 to 8 pm and from 1 pm until the time of the service on Friday.
