John E. Herman, 86, entered into God's eternal care, on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at his home.  He was the husband of the late Betty L. (Yeagy) Herman, his wife of 32 years, who died November 5, 2013.

John was born March 29, 1934, in New Oxford, the son of the late Evelyn G. (Kemper) Lenhart, and the late C. Raymond Herman

John was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, where he was adult Sunday School superintendent for 20 years, and he served in the U.S. Army.  John was a life-long resident of New Oxford, retired from Utz Quality Foods as a sales supervisor and was a very active volunteer during his retirement.

John is survived by three daughters, Kathy J. Kimmey and her husband Steven of Hanover, Susan J. Hart and her husband Mike of Hollywood, FL, and Peggy L. Mummert and her husband Scott of Hanover, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several step children, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Ehrhart of Dover.

Following cremation a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at 11 AM at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
