Joanne C. Snyder, 80, of Gettysburg, died Friday, May 25, 2018, at her home surrounded by her adopted family.

Joanne was born October 30, 1937 in Littlestown, the daughter of the late Vernon R. and Oneida C. (Harner) Snyder.

Joanne attended Mud College in Littlestown and graduated from Shippensburg University Teachers College. She taught Middle School mathematics at Gettysburg Area School District for many years.  Joanne was an avid bingo player, a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Atlanta Braves baseball team.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 10 AM. at Evergreen Cemetery, 799 Baltimore St,  Gettysburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Shriners Children Hospital, c/o Zembo Mosque, 2801 N. 3rd. St. #2, Harrisburg, PA. 17110.
