Joanne M. (Winn) Bate, "Jo", 83, died Thursday, November 18, 2021, at UPMC Hanover Hospital. She was the wife of the late Gerald V. Bate, Jr, who died June 5, 2006.

Jo was born May 10, 1938 in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Bernard J. and Margaret (Dixon) Winn.

Jo is survived by two sons, Luke V. Bate of Portland Oregon and Marshall A. Bate of Texas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11 AM from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 6084 W. Canal Rd., Abbottstown, with Rev. Philip Burger officiating.
