Joann R. (Bible) Oberlander, 59, died Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Manor Care South. She was the wife of James D. Oberlander, her husband of 34 years.
Joann was born February 14, 1957 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Worth H. and Gayetta M. (Lamberson) Bible.
Joann was a member of St. John's U.C.C. in New Chester.
In addition to her husband, James, Joann is survived by a daughter, Kristina M. Oberlander of New Oxford; two sons, Matthew J. Oberlander and his wife, Amanda of Centreville, Va., and Andrew D. Oberlander of New Oxford; three brothers, Lee, Bobby and James Bible; and a sister, Betty Bible.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at St. John's U.C.C., 2243 Hunterstown-Hampton Rd., New Oxford, with her pastor, the Rev. Douglas C. Hahn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
