Joan E. (Smeltz) Leib, 92, passed Thursday, June 26, 2025, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Robert G. Leib, who passed January 8, 1983.

Joan was born September 1, 1932, in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late George E. and Helen E. (Sheets) Smeltz.

Joan was a 1950 graduate of New Oxford High School, a member of Grace U.C.C., Hanover and formerly a member of St. Paul's U.C.C, New Oxford.

Joan is survived by two sons, Gregory R. Leib and his wife Linda of Downingtown, and Kerry A. Leib and his wife Kimberly of Peoria, AZ, two daughters, Cynthia J. Ingling and Jennifer A. Leib, both of Hanover, four grandchildren, Heather Gomez and her husband Stephen, Robert Leib, Jonathan Leib and Amy Leib and her husband Michael Thomas, two great grandchildren, Evelyn and Desmond, and a sister, Sara Linker and her husband William of York.  She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Douglas C. Ingling and a brother, George E. Smeltz, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 12 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with pastor Amy Fawks officiating.  Burial will be in New Oxford Cemetery.  There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace U.C.C., 100 Fourth St, Hanover, PA 17331, or to VNA/Hospice, 440 N.
