Jay M. Waggoner, Jr, 78, passed Monday, March 24, 2025, at his home.  He was the husband of Ruthanna E. (Sipe) Waggoner, his wife of 61 years.

Jay was born December 3, 1946, in Gettysburg, the son Betty (Wagner) Waggoner of Biglerville, and the late Jay M. Waggoner, Sr.

Jay was a member of New Fairview Brethren Church, where he taught Sunday School, and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his wife Ruthanna, and mother Betty, Jay is survived by two sons, Keith A. Waggoner and his wife Stephanie Hoffman of Bridge Creek, OK, and Byron S. Waggoner of East Berlin, five grandchildren, a brother, Wayne Waggoner of Biglerville, and two sisters, Sandy Negley of Mercersburg, and Lois Bobo of Bendersville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11 AM, at Upper Conewago Brethren Church, 403 Mummert's Church Rd, Abbottstown, with Bro Dan Miller and Bro Paul Schildt officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Viewings will be held at the church on Friday from 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Trent Harlacker, Marlin Wagner, Jr, Brody J. Waggoner, Stefan Bobo, Harry Negley, Jonathan Wagner, and Brian Sipe.
