Janet V. Sorrels, 84, of Hanover, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Transitions Healthcare, Gettysburg. She was the wife of the late Franklin E. Sorrels, Sr., who died on December 7, 1978.

Janet was born November 9, 1934 in Washington, DC, the daughter of the late Jesse C. Oakley and Estelle Freeman.

Janet is survived by two daughters, Vivian A. Rill of Hanover, Deborah K. Martin of Conway, SC, three sons, Franklin E. Sorrels, Jr, of University park, MD, John M. Sorrels of Walnut Cove, NC, and James W. Sorrels of Corydon, IN.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 1:00 PM at New Oxford Cemetery. The Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincolnway West, New Oxford, is in charge of the arrangements. Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
