James R. Elicker

James R. Elicker, 64, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Hallie J. (Thomas) Elicker, his wife of 46 years. Jim was born January 15, 1952 in Hanover, the son of the late Richard E. and Margaret A. (Shaffer) Elicker.
Jim was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities. Jim was a member of Trinity "Roth's" U.C.C. in Spring Grove, and was a 1969 graduate of Dover High School. He served in the PA National Guard from 1971-1977, was part of the family business, Thomas Inc, for 40 years, was a past president of the Dover Area Jaycees, received the PA Jaycees Statesman, and the U.S. Jaycees Senatorship, and was a member of East Berlin V.F.W. Auxiliary, Shiloh American Legion, and the National Street Rod Association.
In addition to his wife Hallie, Jim is survived by a son, Shane R. Elicker and his wife, Sue of Thomasville; a daughter, Tiffany E. Bross and her husband, Tom IV of East Berlin; five grandchildren, John Thomas and his wife, Jackie, Trista Morris, Thomas Bross, V, Trey Bross, and Victoria Bross, a great granddaughter, Hayden Morris; and a sister, Jean L. Elicker of Dover.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11 AM at Trinity "Roth's" U.C.C., 6417 Church Rd, Spring Grove, with his pastor, the Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 306 Harrisburg St, East Berlin, and on Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
