Ida M. Calderone

Ida M. (Groe) Calderone, 83, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Johns Hopkins University Medical Center in Baltimore, Md. She was the wife of the late Benjamin F. Calderone, who died May 9, 2002.
Ida was born March 12, 1933, in Bellefonte, the daughter of the late Albert A. and Dorothy (McBath) Groe.
Ida was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church in Hanover, and retired from the Corry Area School District after teaching from 1955-1958 and 1967-1993.
Ida is survived by two sons, Benjamin A. Calderone and his wife Michelle of Abbottstown, and Michael J. Calderone of McSherrystown; and a sister, Constance Begg of San Diego, Calif. She was predeceased by a son, Kevin Calderone; and a sister, Marilyn.
Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Catholic Church, 220 Third St., Hanover, with the Rev. Msgr. James M. Lyons officiating. Burial will be private.
