Helen R. (Goodwin) Chubb, 90, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Chubb, who died May 31, 2016. Helen was born July 11, 1926, in Dover, the daughter of the late Adam and Bertha (Lantz) Goodwin.
Helen attended Harvest Time Temple in Hanover and enjoyed collecting antiques and glassware. She was a member of the Abbottstown Lions Club and the Fenton Collector's Society.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Shirley V. Creek of New Oxford; a step son, Frank C. Chubb of Windsor; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters; Mildred Palmer of Manchester, and Mary Price of Dover. She was predeceased by a son, Carl Mummert; one brother; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 11 am, at Harvest Time Temple, 700 Black Rock Rd, Hanover, with her pastor, Rev. Fred Mummert, officiating. Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens in Dover. A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday, from 10 am until the time of the service.
