Harrison G. Fair passed away peacefully at Cross Keys Village, New Oxford, PA, on August 31, 2026, at the age of 100. Harrison was born in Carlisle, PA, on March 31, 1926. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison Fair and Annie Richwine Fair Myers, his beloved wife of 70 years, Marvel S. Thomas Fair, son, Donald H. Fair, daughter-in-law, Carole P. Fair, and sister, Geraldine Stambaugh. He is survived by his daughter, Marlea C. Williams (Edward) of Knotts Island, NC, and his son, Jeffrey C. Fair (Janet) of Dillsburg, six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Harrison attended York Springs High School and worked at Knouse Foods Corp. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps cadet program at the age of 17 and went on to become a radio operator gunner/mechanic, training on the B-17 Bomber.
He was postmaster in York Springs for 21 years and, with his wife, owned a dairy farm, and later a fruit farm, in the York Springs area. He attended the York Springs Lutheran Church where he was president of the Church Council and taught the adult Sunday School class. He later became a member of Chapel Hill Church of God.

Harrison served on the Huntington Township Planning Commission, was an Adams County Commissioner, and was a tax collector for six years. He is a life member and past secretary of the York Springs Fire Company, a member and past president of the Adams County Extension Association, and a member and past president of the York Springs Lions Club, where he received the highest Lions Club Award, the Melvin Jones Fellowship.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Harrison’s Funeral Service at Nicarry Meeting House at Cross Keys Village, 2990 Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, PA, 17350, on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Sunnyside Cemetery in York Springs.
