Obituary

Harold G. Kepler, 88, passed Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at his home.  He was the loving husband of Elizabeth A. (Sneeringer) Kepler, his wife of 40 years.

Harold was born March 24, 1936, in Meiserville, the son of the late Beulah L. (Wochley) Kratzer and the late Carson H. Kepler.

Harold was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, a 1954 graduate of Middleburg Joint High School, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at the Naval Air Station in Quonset Pointe, RI.  He was a consumer finance manager for 10 years, employed at Black & Decker for 30 years, and drove bus for L.I.U. for 15 years.  Harold was a life member of New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, and a member of American Legion Post #14, Hanover, and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Gettysburg.

In addition to his wife Elizabeth, Harold is survived by a step daughter, Anita M. McCann and her husband Kelly of Port St. Lucie, FL, two grandchildren, Allen M. Ruppert and his wife Bonnie and Jeremy V. McCann and his companion Alyssa, five great grandchildren, Mariana, Noah, Cecilia, Xavier and Pete, two brothers, Wayne Kratzer of Freeburg, and Randy Kratzer of Liverpool, a sister-in-law, Dawn Kratzer of Mt. Pleasant Mills, and his dear friend, Vince Roat of Liverpool.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert Kratzer and Ernest Kepler, and a sister-in-law, Henrietta Kratzer.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 11 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Rev. Kathy Vitalis Hoffman officiating.  Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Mills.  There will be no viewing, however, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105, or to New Hope Ministries, 154 Enterprise Dr, New Oxford, PA 17350.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
