Halarah A. "Penny" Hastings, 74, passed Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at UPMC Memorial Hospital.  She was the wife of Joseph C. Hastings, her husband of 57 years.

Penny was born October 10, 1950, in Hanover, the daughter of the late John W. and Gertrude (Jacoby) King.

In addition to her husband Joe, Penny is survived by a son, Johney A. Hastings and his wife Kim of New Oxford, a daughter, Tina L. Morgan and her husband John of Spring Grove, 8 grandchildren; Kayla, Tyler, Blake, Alex, Ali, Miranda, Olivia and Gema, 7 great grandchildren, a brother, Dennis King of Hanover, and two sisters; Luann Hufnagle of Spring Grove, and Suann Sanders of Hanover.  She was predeceased by a brother, Barry King and a great granddaughter, Liliah Hastings.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 11 AM, at Hanover Believers in Christ Church, 301 Maple Ave, with Pastor Brian Casale officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.  A viewing will be held at the church on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  At the family's request, all flowers should go to the church.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
