Gregory A. Hippensteel, 75, passed Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at his home.  He was the husband of April A. (Akerly) Hippensteel, his wife of 40 years.

Greg was born December 16, 1948, in Hanover, the son of the late Maurice C. and Naomi E. (Laughman) Hippensteel.

Greg was a member of Pioneer Baptist Church in Thurmont, MD, and retired in 2015 from Vulcan Materials where he was an electrician for 45 years.  He loved trips to Snow Shoe, PA, and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

In addition to his wife April, Greg is survived by four sons, Brandon M. Hippensteel and his wife Rhonda of DE, Eric P. Conrad of McSherrystown, David M. Hippensteel and his wife Maureen of Gettysburg, and Douglas L. Hippensteel and his wife Samantha of NC, 11 grandchildren, a brother, Ronald L. Hippensteel and his wife Genny of Hanover, and two sisters, Patricia A. Hippensteel, and Nancy K. Kraber and her husband Keith, all of Hanover.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Shannon.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 11 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Pastor James Coblentz officiating.  Burial will be in Mummert's Church Cemetery, Abbottstown.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer Baptist Church, 13802 Long Rd, Thurmont, MD 21788.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
