Gordon H. Stambaugh, 83, passed Monday, September 8, 2025, at Genesis Healthcare Gettysburg.  He was the husband of Sherry A. (Ernst) Stambaugh, his wife of 63 years.

Gordy was born December 21, 1941, in Hanover, the son of the late Ellis H. and Nellie G. (Kopman) Stambaugh.

Gordy was the owner of Stambaugh Chevrolet in Hampstead, MD and Stambaugh Auto Sale in Hanover, and was a life member of the Hanover Elks.

In addition to his wife Sherry, Gordy is survived by three sons; John M. Stambaugh of Abbottstown, James G. Stambaugh of Hanover, and Joel D. Stambaugh of Abbottstown, three grandchildren; Megan, Tessa and Ellen, a great granddaughter Parker, two brothers; B. Wayne Stambaugh of Dover, and William F. Stambaugh of New Oxford, and a sister, Nancy A. Walter of TX.

A celebration Gordy's life will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 2-4 PM, at Hanover Elks Lodge, 47 N. Forney Ave, Hanover.  Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
