Obituary

Glenn A. Hull, 94, passed Friday, November 15, 2024 at his home. He was the husband of the late Ellen M. (Gaffney) Hull, his wife of 56 years, who died June 7, 2011.

Glenn was born October 30, 1930 in Washington Twp, the son of the late Clarence A. and Amy K. (Ahlers) Hull.

Glenn was a grade school graduate of Aspers one room schoolhouse in, Washington Twp, a 1948 graduate of East Berlin High School and played baseball in 1951 with the Philadelphia Athletics, as a pitcher for the farm team. Glenn served with the US Army during the Korean War in the 101st Airborne Division and was awarded the Outstanding Trainee Award. Glenn was a life member of Manor lodge Hunting & Fishing Club in Slate Run, St. Paul's "Red Run" Church and Harmony Grove Church, where he taught Sunday School and belonged to numerous councils. In 1969, Glenn joined the Boy Scouts and became a Scout Master of Troop 146, Rossville-Wellsville area. Glenn was employed with several contractors before starting his own contracting business with his son Scott.

Glenn is survived by three sons, C. Scott Hull and his wife Julie of East Berlin, Sidney L. Hull and his wife Dianne of Harrisburg, and Dwight D. Hull, of East Berlin, one granddaughter, Lydia A. Nailor and her husband William of East Berlin, a great grandson, Weston Nailor and a great granddaughter, Reagan Nailor, both of East Berlin. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald A. Hull

A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at St. Paul's "Red Run" Church, 6623 Davidsburg Rd., East Berlin, with Rev. Zach Stec officiating. There will be a visitation at the church from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's "Red Run" Church, 6623 Davidsburg Rd. East Berlin, PA, 17316.
