Gertrude Marie "Gertie" Simmons, went home to be with Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2017, peacefully at home, at the age of 89, surrounded by her family

She was born July 30, 1928, Gertrude Marie Crumbie, in Westminster, MD

She worked at Noxell/Procter Gamble Corporation for 25 years as a Quality Control Technician. She was a member of Lake View Community Church.

She leaves behind 7 grandchildren; Shane Stephens, Misty Feathers, Zechariah (Zeke), Stephens, David, Sean, Gary and Becky Simmons, 17 great grandchildren; Faith, Grace Anne, Lilian, Jason, Wesly, Perle, Chanel, Chloe, Zion, Liam, Solomon, Zackary, Lily, Colton, Hudson, Ryle and Olivia, 1 great- great grandchild, Everly Fisher, 1 son, Edward "Chip" Stephens and his wife Sharon, 2 step son's; David and Gary Simmons, who will miss her dearly..

Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 1:00 PM from the Feiser Funeral Home, Inc., 306 Harrisburg St. East Berlin, with Pastor Larry Reinertsen officiating.  Burial will follow at the St. David's U.C.C.
