Gary L. Viands, 71, passed away peacefully at his home in Abbottstown, Saturday, February 26, 2022, with his family at his side. He was the husband of Sandy L. (Smith) Viands.

Gary was born February 22, 1951 in Springfield, OH, the son of the late Floyd G. and Winnie M. (Smith) Viands.

Gary loved to fish and hunt, and was a member of McSherrystown Fish and Game. He was a ham radio operator and enjoyed woodworking.

In addition to his wife Sandy, Gary is survived by three sons, Lee G. Viands and his wife Sandi of Abbottstown, Jason A. Viands and his wife Michelle of New Oxford, and Brad A. Viands and his wife Toshia of Glenville, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Kevin Viands and Randy Viands, 3 sisters, Karen Burk, Dru Bell, and Vicky Eppard, and his faithful dog, Jax.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022  at 1 PM at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Rev Fred Mummert officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 PM until the time of the service.
