Gary L. Leister, 70, passed Friday, December 20, 2024, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.  He was the husband of Shelby J. (Wagaman) Leister, his wife of 46 years, who passed March 2, 2024.

Gary was born August 18, 1954, in Gettysburg, the son of the late Mary A. (Harman) McCauley, and the late Edgar W. and Marie (Shrader) Leister.

Gary was a life member of New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, and McSherrystown Home Association, and enjoyed bowling.

Gary is survived by three sons, David H. Jones and his wife Virginia of San Jose, CA, Bobby C. Jones and his husband Jamie of Baltimore, MD, and Nicholas L. Leister and his wife Karen of New Oxford, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, Ed Leister and his wife Pat, and Larry Leister and his wife Cherry, all of New Oxford, and a sister, Lucinda Baker of VA.  He was predeceased by two sisters, Shirley Leister and Edith Cromer, and a brother, Terry Leister.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 8 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Pastor Barry Sweitzer officiating.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 6 PM until the time of the service.  Memories may be shared at www.feiserfuneralhome.com.
