Frederick L. "Fred" Gable, 95, passed Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his home.  He was the husband of Betty L. (Kessel) Gable, his wife of 70 years.

Fred was born April 27, 1929, in New Oxford, the son of the late Raymond S. and Mary M. (Baugher) Gable.

Fred was a member of St. David Lutheran Church in Hanover, AARP, Conewago Valley Model Railroad Club, Antique Car Club of America, Gettysburg Region, National Antique Car Club of America, New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, New Oxford High School Alumni Association, New Oxford Athletic Booster Association, and he served on the New Oxford Cemetery Association Board of Directors.

In addition to his wife Betty, Fred is survived by a daughter, Cindy L. Gable and her wife Deborah Ruth of Hanover, a son, Mike L. Gable and his wife Abby of Spring Grove, two grandchildren, Scott M. Gable and his wife Hattie, and Samantha L. Milliken and her husband Dave, five great grandchildren, Bella Gable, Jarred Gable, Kennedy Gable, Brianna Sneeringer and Amber Little, and a brother, Larry E. Gable of Bonneauville.  He was predeceased by five brothers, Elton, Pete, Nelson William and Leon Gable, and four sisters, Dorothy Higinbotham, Emma Jane Hoffhiens, Nancy Aldridge and Elizabeth Brothers.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 5 PM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford, with Rev.
