Everett C. Gaines Jr. of York Springs, PA, transitioned to eternal life with his Lord and Savior on November 25, 2023. Everett was born in Owenton, KY in 1938, the son of the late Everett C. and Louise (Cobb) Gaines, and lived the majority of his 85 years in Pennsylvania, where he raised his family and built multiple businesses within several sectors. He was most well-known for the contributions he brought to bringing notoriety to the western equestrian and rodeo business in Central PA. He was an AQHA judge, Co-Founder of the PA High School Rodeo Association which left a legacy of contribution to the positive impact to youth in PA. He locally contributed to his community previously as a park ranger, York Springs Lions Club, Wellsville Saddle Club, Huntingdon Township supervisor and enjoyed his beloved church- Pentecostals of York.
Everett's most joy was found with his family, friends, training horses and teaching youth. He is survived by his wife Edith, his sons Terry (Karen), Scott (Missy), Billy (Molly), and daughters Kim (David), and Audra (Hugh), 10 grandchildren, and 12 Great-grandchildren, a special nephew Craig, as well as his blended family whom he embraced as his children- sons Ben (Mel), Joby (Laura), daughter Sally (Jerry), their 5 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his previous wife Janet, his brothers Doug, and Billy Walter.

The family invites you to join them in celebrating Everett's life on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:30 AM, at Feiser Funeral Home, Inc, 302 Lincoln Way West, New Oxford. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, New Chester. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
